I've read all of the books in the series. I admit I enjoyed the first two more than the subsequent novels. Hosker's writing is wooden, with the dialogue not sounding natural. The characters aren't very human in their reactions to each other. Did anyone have an "interior" life? There is a love interest, but uno sense of sparks flying. Duty and loyalty are stressed and some fine tactics in defeating enemies who have stealth and often numbers on their side. That's the part I found appealing.Product details

Henry II The Anarchy Book 13 eBook Griff Hosker Reviews
great series
Good cloding for a somewhat irregular series with some excellent parts and others not so brilliant . In any case, excellent . I'd read it again
A great finish to the series.the series as a hold was great reading I will recommend it to everyone will look forward to future exciting adventures.
Thank God the series has ended well. I've been addicted to this for two or three months, devouring the books, one after another. I have no doubt that there are more to follow.
Normally 13 is an unlucky number, when it comes to this novel it's fortuitous. The author ties all the loose ends seamlessly. Truely entertaining. No one who have read all previous novels will not be disappointed. A+++
I am on book 14 of the anarchy series...and still as captivated as I was with book 1. I am 80 years old and surprised at my intense interest in the age of chivalry, knights, etc. Hosker certainly knows how to keep one's attention. The manner in which he places the main character as the storyteller is appealing...it seems to draw the reader closer and more personally into the journey.
I read all the books in the series and will continue. The books move too fast jumping from battle to the next. The main characters are too heroic, like Jack Armstrong during the middle ages. I like it better when the heroes have faults to overcome.
